﹣-The Liu Family Ancestral Hall was established to commemorate Liu Kaiqi, the first ancestor to enter Guangdong. It is a holy place for more than 20 million of his descendants to come together to trace their roots. It is also a cultural base for Chinese ancestral halls and a research base for Chinese Han culture. Passing through the magnificent "Han Culture Research Base" archway, a giant stone statue of Liu Bang, the founding emperor of the Western Han Dynasty, stands in front of us. He holds a wine jar, looks very heroic, and wears a sword on his waist. He seems to be singing the "Da Feng Ge" with a cup in his hand: "How can I find brave warriors to guard the four directions!" There is a pond in front of the gate that is as quiet as a mirror, with reflections of buildings swaying gently in it. The outer walls of the main ancestral hall are made of clear bricks, and the emerald green glazed tiles sparkle in the sun, showing its extraordinary elegance. Inside the main temple, there is a different world, with the strength of Chaozhou stone carvings, the delicacy of wood carvings, the colorful paintings, and the profound murals... These traditional decorative arts are displayed here to the fullest, allowing us to feel the perfect fusion of Chaoshan and Hakka architectural styles, which can be called a treasure of architectural art. Looking up, the inlaid porcelain eaves are intricate and gorgeous. It is not only the highlight of the architectural decoration, but also the essence of Chaoshan arts and crafts. Most of them are based on traditional auspicious patterns. Particularly eye-catching is the five-clawed golden dragon hovering among them, majestic yet agile.
