#springitinerary (and yes — I didn't get sunburned!) This gem in Sabah is home to one of the Top 3 sunsets in the world, and I’m not exaggerating — it was golden hour magic on another level. The best part? It’s full of food that feels like home — so many Chinese-friendly eats, and of course, the seafood feast on Gaya Street is chef’s kiss. I gave myself permission to fully unplug — sun on my skin, sea breeze in my hair, and lots of floaty snorkel time in that dreamy blue water. We did a 3D2N island escape to Mantanani Island, and the views were unreal: The sandbar looked like it belonged on a postcard The water was crystal clear, like swimming in jelly But the real highlight? Paddleboarding at sunset — gliding over golden waves with the sky on fire. And just when I thought the trip couldn’t get more magical… We cruised through the mangroves at night, and suddenly — swarms of fireflies lit up the trees around us, flying toward us like glittering stars. Absolutely unforgettable. Pro tip: Don’t want to get sunburned? Pack a lightweight UV jacket, high SPF sunscreen, and a wide-brim hat. Your skin will thank you.
