Zhuhai & Macau: An Awesome 2-Day/1-Night Itinerary for Just ¥800/Person

Hey everyone! I recently went to Zhuhai and Macau for a super fun two-day, one-night trip, and I can't wait to share my itinerary with you 😎 📍First Stop: Zhuhai Morning: Of course, the first stop in Zhuhai has to be Lovers' Road💕. Strolling along the coastline, feeling the sea breeze, with the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macau Bridge looming in the distance, it's truly beautiful! You can also see Zhuhai's landmark—the Fisher Girl statue. Lots of people were taking photos there, and I couldn't resist joining in📸. Noon: I found a seafood restaurant nearby and had some tender poached shrimp🦐 and delicious steamed grouper. The seafood was caught fresh that day, super fresh, and incredibly satisfying! Afternoon: I went to the New Yuan Ming Palace, a 1:1 replica of the Old Summer Palace in Beijing. Although it doesn't have the same historical weight as the original, the architecture is still magnificent and makes for great photos. Wandering around inside felt like traveling back in time🏰. Evening: I couldn't miss the Zhuhai night scene, so I went to Fuhuali. There are tons of unique shops and restaurants here, with dazzling neon lights and a great atmosphere. I found a dessert shop and enjoyed a delicious cake while soaking in the evening vibes🍰. 📍Second Stop: Macau Morning: I crossed the border to Macau. I had my permit sorted out in advance, so the crossing went smoothly. My first stop was the Ruins of St. Paul's, which is truly stunning! The Baroque architecture and the history behind it make it a must-see. There are also many souvenir shops around. I bought some almond cookies from Koi Kei Bakery, which were super tasty and perfect as gifts🎁. Noon: I had lunch at a nearby food street, where I enjoyed a pork chop bun🥪. The bread was crispy, and the pork chop was juicy and tender—super satisfying with every bite. I also had a Portuguese egg tart, which was rich and creamy with a flaky crust. It was honestly the best egg tart I've ever had! Afternoon: I went to Rua da Cunha, a food lover's paradise. I tried the Lord Stow's Bakery egg tart, which had a different flavor from the Portuguese egg tart I had earlier. I also tried the crab congee, which was flavorful and packed with crab meat🦀. After exploring the food street, I visited the Taipa Houses–Museum next door. The five Portuguese-style houses are full of exotic charm and perfect for photos. Evening: I went to The Parisian Macao to see the Eiffel Tower🗼. The tower lights up at night, creating a super romantic atmosphere. Taking photos there felt like being in Paris, and the pictures turned out great. There are also many shopping malls nearby, which was a shopaholic's dream🛍️. Transportation🚗: Taxis are readily available in Zhuhai. You can also take the bus to the New Yuan Ming Palace. To get from Zhuhai to Macau, you can take the free shuttle buses provided by the major hotels after crossing the border. They can take you to many attractions, which is very cost-effective. Accommodation🏠: In Zhuhai, I stayed near Lovers' Road, which offered great night views and convenient transportation. In Macau, you can choose to stay near the Ruins of St. Paul's, where there are many guesthouses and hotels with various price options. Important Notes⚠️: 1. Remember to exchange currency for Macanese patacas in advance. Although many places accept Alipay and WeChat, some small shops only accept cash. 2. Be aware of prohibited items when crossing the border. 3. Check the opening hours of attractions beforehand to avoid disappointment. My 2-day/1-night trip to Zhuhai and Macau was truly amazing. I experienced different cultures and enjoyed so much delicious food. You guys should definitely plan a trip there too🥰
