The old town is called the Peninsula, which has many delicious foods and relatively older hotels. The Peninsula is very close to Gongbei Port. The other area is called Taipa, which has relatively newer hotels. Almost all of the free shuttle buses from the port can reach Taipa. 👉If you want your parents to stay in a better hotel, you can choose Taipa. This time we stayed at the Grand Hyatt, which has large rooms and is relatively quiet. The outdoor heated pool is a big reason why I chose it. The room has a view of the fountain at Wynn Palace. It is very close to Wynn Palace, MGM, The Venetian, The Parisian, and The Londoner. ✅Transportation: Try not to walk too long with your parents. If it takes more than ten minutes to walk, we will choose a taxi. There are taxis at the entrance of every hotel, which is very convenient. The drivers will not give you a hard time because of the short distance. The fare is about 20 to 50 MOP. ✅Food: The food in Macau is really amazing, fresh, and authentic, but when traveling with parents, we will choose more conservative options. All of the following recommendations have been personally tested. 👉Dong Kwok Seafood Restaurant in Taipa is good for dinner. The ingredients are good, and the taste is authentic. After eating, a private car will take you back to the hotel. For tea restaurants, you can choose Hei Lin Tea Restaurant, which is very authentic and popular among locals. Tan Ka Shark Fin at the entrance of Rua do Cunha is also worth taking your parents to. You can take a walk along Rua do Cunha and try some street food, such as freshly baked meat shops and egg tarts, which are so fragrant. 👉There are more food options on the Peninsula. If you like roasted meat, you can take your parents to Chan Kuong Kei. Half a roast goose is already very large. Add a three-combo dish, and the four of us couldn't finish it. The meat is fat and tender, and very delicious. ✅Activities: Don't tire your parents out. You can arrange to visit the Ruins of St. Paul's on the Peninsula. After visiting the Ruins of St. Paul's, you can walk slowly downhill to the Grand Lisboa and the Lisboa Hotel, which takes about 15 minutes. There are some cultural relics on the first floor of the Grand Lisboa that you can see. The Lisboa Hotel is nostalgic, but there are sofas for the elderly to sit on. After having lunch and shopping on Rua do Cunha in Taipa, you can walk back to the area near The Venetian, which is lively. You can walk around and then go to MGM to have milk tea. Before resting at night, you can watch the fountain at Wynn Palace or queue for the cable car. There is a large green area in front of Wynn Palace, where you can sit on the ground and rest for a while. 💞Traveling with parents should be comfortable. A two-day or three-day itinerary is more suitable!
