Macau Special Administrative Region (SAR) is located on the western side of the Pearl River Delta in southern China. It is a land and sea intersection between mainland China and the South China Sea, adjacent to Guangdong Province, 60 km from Hong Kong SAR, and 145 km from Guangzhou, Guangdong Province. Macau SAR consists of the Macau Peninsula, Taipa, Coloane, and Cotai, with 7 parishes and a sea area of 85 square kilometers. The total population is 686,400. Macau SAR is located in a subtropical region with a maritime monsoon climate. The terrain is low, high in the south and low in the north, with mountains and high hills in the north and plains and terraces in the south. Notes - Apply for an Entry-Exit Permit for Hong Kong and Macau and endorsement in advance. - Prepare some MOP cash, as some small shops may only accept cash. - Buses and taxis are the main modes of transportation in Macau.
