"I found a 1920s haute couture hat in Paris, which was basically a Vietnamese rattan hat covered in white and red polka dots, and decided to make it look like that throughout the hotel," Bensley said. The grand wooden counter in the lobby is decorated with fashion-themed antiques, old suitcases, and retro clothes. The windows on either side are lined with industrial-sized spools of thread wrapped in jewel-toned threads, evoking the tactility of silk and the lush orchid gardens of nearby Ham Rong Mountain.
