I took my daughter and mother for a weekend getaway at Liyang Mangota · Quechan Li Hot Spring Resort Hotel. We happened to arrive during International Women's Day, and the hotel gave roses to all female guests. The hotel, which opened just last year, is a hot spring resort. It features outdoor pools, and our Circular Courtyard Private Pool Room had a hot spring pool on the balcony. Since we didn't bring swimsuits, we enjoyed the pool in our room. My daughter and I soaked our feet in the afternoon - it was wonderfully warm and comfortable. Designed by CCD, the hotel showcases impressive architectural aesthetics. Every step reveals a new view, and all areas flow seamlessly together. The children's play area and gym are beautifully designed and worth experiencing. Bamboo elements are featured throughout the hotel. High-quality amenities include Aesop toiletries, Dyson hair dryers, delicate custom ceramic cups, and mineral water from Changbai Mountain. We dined at Sanqianzui Chinese Restaurant for every meal because the food was exquisite. The restaurant specializes in creative Huaiyang cuisine. The Handmade Rice Cake with Braised Yellow Croaker was delicious - the tender rice cakes were flavorful, and the large yellow croaker was fresh with few bones. We ordered the Kung Pao Peony Shrimp Balls several times - its sweet and sour taste was perfect for both children and elderly. The Lily Bulb with River Shrimp was fresh with springy shrimp. The Crab Roe Tofu was perfectly prepared without any fishy taste. We recommend the Sanqianzui Braised Pork - great color and taste with rich sauce, rich but not greasy. The Wensi Tofu with Crispy Pastry was surprisingly good, featuring shredded tofu cooked with black moss and served with sesame-topped crispy pastry. The elderly particularly enjoyed the Wheat and Red Bean Cake for its soft texture, which could serve as a main dish. Almost every dish we ordered was excellent, no wonder the restaurant was so popular. The hotel offers many photo opportunities. My favorite outdoor spots include the Earth Theater, Zen Pavilion, and Frame Waterfall. Indoor spots include the Library, Wushang & Youfang, Music Hall, and Light Boat. Every day on my way to the room, I could see the Hanging Melody - its graceful curves growing from the circular courtyard, inspired by the ancient drinking game of floating wine cups, flowing like a stream. Like converging musical notes, it creates a silent painting of light and sound, balancing nature and harmonizing curves with zen.
