Lijiang Shuhe Longquan Sansheng Palace: Searching for Plum Blossoms in the Snow

In the days leading up to the Lunar New Year, Lijiang was hit by rain and snow, making it impossible to see the true face of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, but unexpectedly, I was able to enjoy the beautiful scenery in the snow. I originally wanted to go to Shuhe Ancient Town to see the murals of the National Treasure Dajue Palace, but it was closed for renovation, and it started to snow. I walked along the cold Qinglong River and came across a corridor bridge leading to Sansheng Palace, from which I could see the temple gate on the other side of the pool. After crossing the bridge, there were natural mountain caves on the left side of the path and a pool on the right, which was quite like a garden. The main gate of Sansheng Palace is closed, so you have to enter from the back door, but my photos are arranged in the order of viewing after entering from the main gate. After entering the temple gate, there is a two-story pavilion by the water. Since the main entrance is not here, it is a bit messy. After passing through the front porch on the first floor, turn left and go up the steps to the long courtyard. The front hall is the second floor of the pavilion, and there is a plum tree blooming in the snow next to the back hall, which makes people feel warm. ❄️Sansheng Palace originally enshrined the three officials of heaven, earth, and water. In this Longtan Water Palace, it is mostly related to praying for rain and a good harvest, but it has now been converted into a Buddhist temple. After leaving the temple, the snow got heavier. When I returned to the corridor bridge and looked at the temple gate again, it seemed to disappear into the world. Longquan Sansheng Palace was announced as a cultural relic protection unit in Yunnan Province in 2012 and is marked as Jiuding Longtan and Longquan Temple on the map.
