Sichuan. Lezhi County. Kunfo Temple Cliffside Statues

First carved in the Sui dynasty, with color decorations added from the Tang to the Qing dynasties. Consists of 33 large and small caves and more than 1,000 statues, with the Northern Song dynasty reclining Buddha being the most famous. The locals call it the Kunfo, hence the name Kunfo Temple Cliffside Statues. The reclining Buddha is 10.5 meters long, with a head length of 2.1 meters, a spiral bun, a slightly high nose bridge, a round face, slightly closed eyes, lightly closed lips, a peaceful and dignified face, and a pleasant expression, showing the magnanimous and detached expression of Sakyamuni when he passed away.
