Weekend trip! Relaxing 2-day, 1-night trip from Chengdu to Guizhou and Qianhu Miao Village👇🍁 It's the off-season for travel, so it's a great time to visit Guizhou. Transportation: Take a high-speed train from Chengdu East Railway Station to Kaili Railway Station in Guizhou (3–4 hours). After getting off the train, you still have a ways to go to Qianhu. You can take a scenic area bus at the entrance, a Didi, or a local driver (we paid CNY 40 per person). There are also scenic area buses in the scenic area to reduce walking. Accommodation: I really recommend staying at a guesthouse at the foot of the mountain. Otherwise, carrying your luggage up the mountain is exhausting. The guesthouses are stacked on top of each other. They look close, but they might be on the mountain. Staying on the mountain has its perks (beautiful scenery, especially the night view, and many guesthouses have photo spots). Food: The scenic area is known for its sour fish hot pot. We had local specialties on the first day and sour fish on the second day. I recommend Luanxi Diary, a new restaurant with great food (compared to others!). Things to do: Two days is more than enough. The village is big, but there are so many photo spots. You can take photos in traditional clothing, watch local performances, and try the milk tea (it's really pretty). There are many stalls selling cultural and creative products, and you can find unique trinkets. The popular Pigpen Cafe is halfway up the mountain. I recommend going early because it's very crowded. The big swing is on the same mountain as the cafe. You can visit both in the afternoon. Afterward, you can go down the mountain and enjoy the beautiful night view.
