Park Hyatt Kyoto

Kyoto Hotel Review ||| Park Hyatt Kyoto 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 The highlight of this trip and the hotel I was most looking forward to was Park Hyatt Kyoto. To secure the legendary Room 701, I booked this room type over three months in advance—the highest floor with the most direct view of the pagoda. It turned out to be absolutely worth it. Though I paid in cash, the moment I opened the window to that view, I was truly awestruck. The hotel is located in the bustling Ninenzaka area, but with just a right turn from the crowded street, you step into this secluded courtyard, creating a surreal sense of transition. The check-in experience was average, likely because the hotel is always busy. The lobby in the afternoon felt a bit noisy, but once you take the elevator up to the fifth floor, the atmosphere becomes much more private. For dinner, I reserved a table at Yasaka Teppanyaki—no comment on the food, as I only remember forcing it down for the view. However, the sky unexpectedly cleared into a stunning sunset, which was a delightful surprise. The Japanese-style gym was another first for me—exceptionally refined. Breakfast was in-room dining with the pagoda view, which was truly enjoyable, though the food itself was just decent. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I’d say it’s worth trying. ROKU Kyoto 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Rumored to be Kyoto’s "little Aman" (since the hotel is just a 10-minute walk from Aman Kyoto, lol), I arrived at night and couldn’t see much. After a soak in the hot spring, I turned in early. The in-room onsen was spacious and very comfortable. The ground floor features an indoor garden design, adding privacy to the first-floor rooms. The next morning, I explored the hotel—its layout is serene, and there’s even a path leading to a nearby Japanese garden, perfect for a leisurely stroll. Kyoto in summer is incredibly lush. However, for some reason, the hallway smelled like farts the next morning... Maybe I won’t stay here again, as the room design felt a bit cramped and not as open as I’d like. Still, the hotel is undeniably beautiful. Looking forward to the upcoming Capella Kyoto opening this year—guess I’ll have to experience it on my next visit!
