In the greenhouse space, where you don't have to worry about rain, I was engrossed with my camera. Two grown-up girls taking lots of photos while giggling! It's the perfect atmosphere for a date, but it's also a great place to have fun with friends. 📍LIGHT CYCLES KYOTO An interactive night event with light and sound by the world-famous art group "Moment Factory." The Kyoto Prefectural Botanical Gardens will be transformed into a fantastical space that feels like another world. 🗓 Event period: Saturday, May 24, 2025 - Tuesday, March 31, 2026 📍 Location: Kyoto Prefectural Botanical Gardens (Sakyo Ward, Kyoto City / Right next to Kitayama Subway Station) 🕐 Event hours: ・May - August → 19:30 - 21:30 (last entrance 20:30) ・September - March of the following year → 18:00 - 21:30 (last entrance 20:30) *Closed on Mondays (closed the following Tuesday if a Monday is a public holiday) 🎫 Early bird tickets are the best deal! 2,500 yen on the day → 1,800 yen for early bird tickets. It is expected to be crowded on weekends and summer holidays, so we recommend purchasing in advance. 🍴 There were not many food and drink booths on the day I went, which was a bit disappointing💦 📷 It's a photogenic space that will make you think, "Wait, is this really a botanical garden!?"
