Fushimi Inari Taisha in Kyoto is a place where you can experience a mystical atmosphere, as if you've stepped into another world. The sight of thousands of vermilion torii gates lining the mountain paths is truly breathtaking, giving the impression that they stretch on endlessly. Visiting early in the morning allowed for a quieter experience with fewer tourists, making the walk through the torii tunnel feel incredibly special. Along the way, you'll encounter small shrines and fox statues, adding to the charm with new discoveries at every step. While reaching the summit requires some physical effort, the view of Kyoto city from the observation deck along the way is absolutely stunning. On the way back, I enjoyed a comforting bowl of the local specialty, kitsune udon. This is not just a tourist spot but a place where you can calm your mind and reflect inwardly.
