A great place for a fall hike in Kunming.

A gentle breeze blows, and the leaves fall like colorful butterflies dancing in the air, celebrating the beauty of fall. In Kunming, red and green coexist. On a sunny fall afternoon, you can even wear a T-shirt to enjoy the fall scenery. Today, I'm sharing Haikou Forest Farm in Kunming, which is more than 20 km from Kunming. It's a great place to see beautiful maple leaves and go hiking. ⏰️Time: Mid to late October 📮Address: Navigate to Haikou Forest Farm in Kunming. There aren't many cars, so you can take the Gaohai auxiliary road. If you take the Gaohai Expressway, you'll need to pay a CNY 10 toll. 🎫Tickets: Free 🅿Parking: You can park on the roadside. 🍁Maple viewing route: Enter the gate of Haikou Forest Farm, turn left at the first fork, and walk about 1 km up to see a red maple forest. 👣Hiking route: 👆Enter the gate of Haikou Forest Farm and walk up to see an olive grove. These olive trees were a gift from Albania to China in 1964, and one of them was planted by Premier Zhou Enlai on March 3, 1964. 🍭Continue past the reservoir and the corridor, and you'll see Gesang flowers and other wildflowers along the road. Climb the steps to the observation deck at the top of the mountain, and you'll feel like you're on top of the world. 🍱Recommended restaurant: Yufengxuan Fish Restaurant There are a few farmhouses nearby, but the food isn't very good. If you're driving, I highly recommend driving 5 km to Yufengxuan Fish Restaurant in Haikou Town. 🍭It's located in Xiaoyucun in Haikou Town, across the water from the Haikou Bridge. Their sour and spicy crucian carp, char siu pork, dry-fried pork intestines, fried white fish, and spicy crayfish are all delicious, and you can also try wild vegetables like water spinach. After eating, you can go to the market in Haikou Town and take a walk along the Tanglang River near the Chuanzi Gate, where the scenery is also beautiful.
