Designed by architect Tadao Ando, ​​the library was donated to Kumamoto with the hope that children in the city would have more opportunities to come into contact with picture books. Inside the building, picture books are lined up on the walls, spreading out along the staircase, creating a spectacular view😳 The staircase is also slightly curved, so the view from the second floor is completely different! There is a terrace on the second floor as well as the first floor, so it feels like you are in the forest 🌳 There are a wide variety of picture books, from those for 0.1.2 to those that are interesting for elementary school students and adults, and there are plenty of chairs and sofas, so you can read anywhere ◎ The area under the stairs is like a secret base, and it is a popular place ♡ ☆You can enter the library by reservation or on the day, and you can choose from three time slots ◎ Reservations fill up quickly, so if you can't get one, just go directly!
