Tasman Peninsula

The Tasman Peninsula is located southeast of Hobart. Port Arthur is the main attraction, while the island's coastline, beaches, and jungle trails offer beautiful natural scenery. Entering the peninsula from the north via the Arthur Highway, you first reach Eaglehawk Neck. Turning east onto Pirates Bay Dr, you arrive at the lookout point where you can enjoy the coastline. Around Eaglehawk Neck, there are coastal erosion features such as the Tessellated Pavement, Blowhole, Tasman Arch, and Waterfall Bay. Continuing south, you reach the Tasman National Park, which occupies a large area of the peninsula. You can choose one of several jungle trails for hiking. If you want to see animals, you can visit the Tasmanian Devil Conservation Park. For cultural attractions, you can visit the Coal Mines Historic Site, and the convict prison sites at Eaglehawk Neck, Koonya, Premaydena, and Saltwater River.
