Rated by Lonely Planet as a must-visit in a lifetime

Komodo is a small island, and its most famous spots are probably Padar Island, Komodo dragons, and the pink sand beaches 🏖 Many people choose a 3-day 2-night or 2-day 1-night liveaboard trip when they arrive in Komodo. Personally, I think it's completely unnecessary. The liveaboard accommodations are poor, and the rooms are cramped. It's impossible to sleep at night. The day tour covers all the spots that the liveaboard visits, so I chose a day tour and returned to the hotel at night. Lying on a comfortable big bed is definitely better than on the boat. Komodo is really perfect for relaxing; spending 2 or 3 days is enough. Staying longer can get quite boring.

Labuan bajo

Journey to Flores' Adventure Hotspots! 🛥️🌴🌺 Golo Mori, Padar Island, and Pink Beach form the golden triangle of Labuan Bajo explorations—think rugged cliffs, dazzling pink sands, and pristine sea teamed with breezy island vibes. With AirAsia’s direct flight from Kuala Lumpur, adventure-seekers can skip the transit hassle and dive straight in! Begin at Labuan Bajo (7R7W+9P7, Golo Mori, Komodo): Embark on a liveaboard for the most immersive way to hop islands, spot flying fox sunsets, and occasionally dive alongside manta rays. Must-do: Walk the morning fish market and catch golden hour at Bukit Sylvia. Cruise onward to Padar Island (Komodo, West Manggarai): A sunrise trek up Padar’s steep trail reveals its famous three-colored bays—bring water and start before 7AM to beat the heat and crowds. Insta-worthy angle: The classic cliff photo with the winding beaches below (try panoramic shots for the full drama). Drop anchor at Pink Beach (East Nusa Tenggara): The sand sparkles with pink coral fragments—snorkel for rainbow fish and try the short hike to the viewpoint for stunning coastal shots. Best photos at midday, when sunlight intensifies the pink hues. Quick tips: Pack reef-safe sunscreen, swim shoes, and a dry bag for electronics. Liveaboards can be basic—double-check boat amenities, especially for longer trips! Weather can turn quickly, so a light rain jacket helps. Precaution: Currents are strong around Komodo—always heed local guide advice when swimming or snorkeling. #LabuanBajo #KomodoIslands #IslandHopping #IndonesiaTravel #LiveaboardAdventure
