Accommodation by the Sea at Portosalo Koh Larn

A heartwarming stay on Koh Larn where you can gaze at the sky and sea from your bed. Start by parking your car at Bali Hai Bay Hotel for an overnight fee of 200 baht. They offer a round-trip speedboat ride for 250 baht per person and provide a golf cart to take you to the pier. The journey takes about 15 minutes with some waves for a bit of fun. If you get seasick, it's recommended to take the speedboat as it's faster than the big boat, and you'll reach the island in no time. Call the accommodation staff to pick you up at the pier. Upon arrival, you'll be greeted with a refreshing watermelon smoothie to boost your energy and freshness. The accommodation has only 3 rooms, a small place near Tawaen Beach with stunning sea views. The design and layout are thoughtfully planned, creating a great mood and beautiful lighting, perfect for photography enthusiasts. The place is peaceful and quite private. The bathroom is spacious with a Japanese-style toilet that keeps your bottom warm every time you sit. The amenities package is excellent with a pleasant fragrance. The cute bathrobe with a hood is perfect for photo props. The resort offers motorbike rentals, but if you're not confident in riding, it's not recommended as the roads are narrow, paved with interlocking bricks, slippery when it rains, and some parts are steep with sharp curves. For lunch, we recommend "Pa Soi, Delicious Everything." Every visit, we must go to this restaurant. The food is reasonably priced and flavorful. We couldn't take pictures because we were too hungry. The recommended dish is the spicy horseshoe crab salad. For dinner, the accommodation offers a menu that you can order from Sunset Restaurant. The taste is average, but acceptable. The prices are a bit high for a café-style restaurant, but the portions are decent. If you prefer seafood, it's recommended to ride to the market in front of the temple where fresh seafood is sold and can be steamed or grilled for you. There are also many delicious snacks sold by the locals. Breakfast offers two options: fried eggs or omelets. The sausages they provide are delicious, and the bacon is good. It's a satisfying meal that leaves room for another meal before heading back. The accommodation has only been open for a few months. It's well-located, not far from the community, close to 7-Eleven and the market in front of the temple. If you're looking for a nice place to stay near Bangkok with a short island hop and a beautiful sea view, Portosalo Koh Larn is the place to be. You might encounter some rain this season, but the light rain adds to the chill vibe.
