Izakaya and Chef's Special Combined Experience!
The restaurant staff are very enthusiastic and will actively introduce the source of the food. They are very proud of their own air-freighted ingredients because the owner used to be a food wholesaler, so the quality is particularly guaranteed. Appetizers
The menu is directly from Kochi Station. First, we have the local Kochi Yuzu Juice Sashimi Salad, which is very refreshing and appetizing. The sashimi is chewy, and the salad is sweet and sour, quite delightful.
Katsuo Tataki
A famous dish from Kochi Prefecture in Shikoku, the fish is grilled to medium-rare using rice straw and seasoned with kombu sesame oil. The presentation here is even more unique, using a whale-shaped plate because Kochi Prefecture is a famous whale-watching spot. Next time, I must see the whales before leaving.
Seasonal Sashimi Platter
The Central store mainly focuses on skewers, grilled dishes, and snacks to go with drinks. Here, they also offer freshly made sushi and sashimi, combining the izakaya and chef's special experience. The sashimi includes cherry sea bream, deep-sea fish, mackerel, and Hokkaido sea urchin. The fish is very fresh, with a firm and chewy texture, and the Hokkaido sea urchin bursts with sweetness in your mouth.
Grilled Dishes
In winter, you must eat crab. Today's special is Matsuba Crab Roe Grilled Rice. The fragrant rice base complements the creamy and rich crab roe, with the strong crab flavor lingering in your mouth.
Various Skewers
The basic skill of an izakaya is, of course, skewers. The signature dish is the A5 Satsuma Wagyu Skewer, which is rich in flavor, tender, and easy to eat. Another specialty is the Nagasaki Unzen Ham, made with 100% local pork and no added ingredients. It has a sweet taste and the fat is not greasy.
Snacks to Go with Drinks
For all-you-can-drink, you must choose some special snacks. The sake-steamed clams are large and plump. The smoked radish with cheese is something I've never seen before. The radish has a smoky aroma, and the cheese is paired with two types, making it rich and addictive.
