A mysterious group of lakes where swamps of various colours are gathered

#springwander Hundreds of lakes were formed and born due to the water vapour explosion that occurred in 1888. Among them, the general name of about 30 large and small lakes such as Bishamon-numa, Aka-numa, Midoro-numa, Ryu-numa, and Benten-numa is called "Goshiki-numa Lake Group". In 2016, it was recognised as a one-star Michelin Green Guide. It is not the five swamps, but the name comes from the fact that various colours can be seen. Colour differences are due to weather, seasons, and volcanic substances contained in the water.
