Because of Teresa Teng's song "Story of a Small Town," I embarked on a trip to Koh Tao and stayed at the Koh Tao Tropicana Resort. 🌁 Decoration style: The hotel blends local features with modern minimalist style, using a lot of natural materials, such as volcanic stone and wood, which are simple and natural. As soon as you enter the lobby, the tall palm tree decorations and open space allow the sea breeze and sunlight to pass through freely, creating a full sense of vacation atmosphere. 🏘️ Room type/layout: I chose the garden suite. The room layout is reasonable, and the rest area and sleeping area are clearly divided. Pushing open the door is a private small garden, full of flowers and birdsong, as if you are in a secret garden. 🎠 Activities: The hotel offers a variety of activities, including exciting jet skis where you can feel the thrill of speed, and peaceful sea fishing activities where you can enjoy a moment of leisure between the sea and the sky. My favorite is the island cycling in the evening, facing the sunset and feeling every inch of Koh Tao's customs. 🍽️ Dining features: The cuisine here focuses on local seafood and specialty agricultural products, and the cooking method retains the original flavor of the ingredients. The fresh and tender steamed grouper, paired with a special spicy and sour dipping sauce, instantly activates the taste buds with one bite. 💰 Average cost: The daily average cost is about CNY 400–600, covering accommodation, dining and most of the activities, which is quite cost-effective. 💗 Other tips: Remember to book the hotel's SPA service in advance, and enjoy a relaxing massage under the coconut trees, which will add more comfort to your trip to Koh Tao.
