Holy and Beautiful Kedarnath Temple Trek

Kedarnath Temple is a Shiva Temple located in Uttrakhand state of India. It is one of the Jyotirling out of 12 and one of the Dham out of 4. This is one of the Holiest shrine of Hindus. Trek is 25 KMS one side and includes steep hike. Hikers start in Morning reach there for Evening Aarti and stay there in night and return in morning after Darshan. It’s located between a valley of high mountains and temperature drops to -20 in winters. Kedarnath Temple opens only between Jun to Nov and closed after Diwali due to snowfall. It can be reached by bus from Rishikesh/Haridwar and takes around 9-10 hrs to reach Hiking starting Point, Gaurikund. From Gaurikund it takes 6-8 hrs hike to reach temple. This is a spritual hike and mainly taken by Hindus and people who believe in Shiva. One can also trek further to Basuki Taal which is further 4-5 hrs hike from Kedarnath Temple.
