#cherryblossom25 I specifically visited Japan at the end of February to witness the earliest blooming cherry blossoms. It’s said that the cherry blossoms here have a blooming period of just half a month, and if you miss it, you have to wait another year. So, with a bit of impulse and excitement, I came! In Kawazu Town, cherry trees line the streets and stretch along the Kawazu River. The pink sea of flowers is even more vibrant against the blue sky. When the gentle breeze blows, petals fall, and standing on the bridge, it feels like the entire river is flowing with the breath of spring. Walking beneath the cherry blossoms, it’s hard not to be moved by the early spring romance. Kawazu Sakura is more vivid than Somei Yoshino and lasts longer, but the most beautiful time lasts only about a few days. This fleeting and limited spring is definitely worth coming to experience. Alternatively, you can take the Shinkansen to Atami and transfer to the Izukyu Line (about 3 hours). Once you get off at Kawazu Station, it’s only a 5-minute walk to the cherry blossom viewing area.
