[Saitama Prefecture] A magnificent tower gate and main hall

Hon'o-ji Temple 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃 Hon'o-ji Temple is located in Ishihara-cho, Kawagoe City. It is a Nichiren sect temple, and its mountain name is Takazawa-san Myochi-in. 　　 It is said that Nishun founded the temple in 1626, inviting Nicho Shonin of Yanaka Kanyo-ji Temple to become its founder. In the temple grounds is the grave of Takayama Shigefumi, who served as a national elder and retainer of Akimoto Takatomo, the lord of Kawagoe Castle, and it has been designated as a Saitama Prefecture historic site. The tower gate is also impressive, with Nio statues on both sides.
