[Saitama Prefecture] A temple that shows the remains of Kawagoe Castle

Eirinji Temple 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃 Eirinji Temple is located in Suehirocho, Kawagoe City. It is said to have been founded in the early Edo period. This temple was built by Sakai Bingonokami Tadatoshi, the lord of Kawagoe Castle, for his grandmother, Gyokuhitsu Eirin Daishi. Within the temple grounds is the Renchimon Gate, which was located inside Kawagoe Castle. It was moved there after the return of the domain and people to the emperor in 1869. It is said that it was once located in the northeast direction, which is the direction of evil, as seen from the main citadel. There is also an Inari hall dedicated to Dakiniten, and a cleaning boy carrying a broom.
