Ice bubbles at Lake Nukabira!

This is a dam lake on the banks of the Nukabira Dam. It is famous for being one of the first places in Hokkaido to enjoy ice fishing, as it is located at a high altitude and freezes over completely quite early. However, my personal recommendation is the ice bubbles that form under the ice. This natural phenomenon occurs when the forest submerged in the dam releases gas and freezes along with the bubbles, as shown in the photo. They are smaller and finer than those seen in Lake Akan and Lake Kussharo, but are also dynamic.
