This is the terminal where regular ferries operate between Karatsu (Karatsu East) in Saga Prefecture and Iki (Intsuji Port FT) in Nagasaki Prefecture. I found it while walking along the coast of the port with a view of Karatsu Castle and stopped by. Four to five ferries operate per day at different times depending on the season. Opening hours are 7:40-18:20. The terminal waiting room on the second floor also serves as the Karatsu Port Exchange Center. The area around Karatsu East Port has been developed into a walking path along the coast, and you can sit on a bench while looking at Karatsu Castle! As it is a ferry terminal, there is also parking for 70 cars, so it is recommended as a place to take a break from driving by car.
