I saw some lovely pelicans at Lake Naivasha! The sky is the limit for these birds, but these pelicans seem to prefer to daydream, and it's rare to see them spread their wings and fly. Lake Naivasha is located about 90 km northwest of Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, in the Great Rift Valley of East Africa. It is the only freshwater lake in Kenya, with an altitude of 1,900 meters, a length of 20 km from north to south, a width of 13 km from east to west, an area of about 139 square km, and a depth of up to 20 meters. The lake water is slightly alkaline, but drinkable. There is a crescent-shaped island in the center of the lake, which is a private wildlife sanctuary with many wild animals and waterfowl. Lake Naivasha is one of the most beautiful lakes in Kenya and a popular spot for bird watching and wildlife viewing.
