Western Sichuan is rich in tourist resources, boasting numerous renowned attractions. Today, I'll introduce a smaller, yet historically significant, destination. 🍀🍀 This is Mugecuo, located in Kangding City, Ganzi Prefecture. Also known as the Kangding Love Song Scenic Area, it's the birthplace of the famous folk song, *Kangding Love Song*. The well-known lyrics, "On the horse-racing mountain...", originate here. 📍Attraction: Kangding Love Song (Mugecuo) Scenic Area 📍Address: Wangmu Village, Yala Township, Kangding City, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province 🎈🎈Transportation: Driving is the most convenient option, or you can choose a guided tour. 🎫｜Tickets + sightseeing bus: CNY 185/person ⏰｜8:00am–4:30pm 🎈🎈Food and accommodation: There are many guesthouses, hotels, and restaurants outside the scenic area entrance. Inside, there are small shops selling snacks and various ethnic minority foods, so you won't go hungry. 🎯Tour route: Tourist Center - Holy Lake Parking Lot [Mugecuo] - Lovers' Beach - Shanyaochi Hot Spring - Seven-Color Sea - Tourist Center (Exit) 🎯Recommended itinerary: Take the sightseeing bus from the scenic area to Mugecuo Lake, the furthest point, and then explore each attraction on the way back. The scenic area is large, so visiting three key spots is sufficient. 💎Mugecuo: Also known as Wild Man Lake, it resembles a blue sea in summer and freezes over in winter. If you're lucky, you might see blue ice. However, I prefer the small wooden houses on Lovers' Beach. Taking photos after a snowfall feels like being in Xinjiang. 💎Shanyaochi Hot Spring: There's a bus stop here. My shoes got wet from the snow, so I soaked my feet in the natural hot spring. It was super comfortable to enjoy the snowy mountains and streams while soaking my feet, relieving fatigue and bringing a sense of peace. 💎Seven-Color Sea: This crescent-shaped lake resembles Xinjiang in the snow. The lake surface is partially frozen, and the snow-covered trees on the mountain look like Christmas trees. Watching the snowflakes fall on the lake is beautiful and healing. We stayed there for a long time. ⚠️Precautions: ❗Mugecuo is at an altitude of 3,780 meters, so avoid strenuous exercise. ❗Due to the high altitude, there are large temperature differences between day and night. Hiking jackets and warm clothing are essential. ❗Be sure to protect yourself from the sun. Bring sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat. ❗Pets are not allowed. ❗Mugecuo is in an ethnic minority area, so please respect local customs. ❗Prayer wheels in the scenic area should be turned clockwise.
