[Kami Town, Miyagi Prefecture] In the heart of Mt. Yakurai! Yakurai Souvenir Center

On the way back from Yakurai Garden, we went to the Yakurai Souvenir Center in Kami-machi. It seems that the gelato here is famous, but unfortunately it only opens at 3pm so we couldn't eat there... The restaurant also closes at 3pm. The bamboo shoots at the souvenir center seemed to be popular in May. They also have shiso rolls, local beer (Yakurai beer), plants and goods featuring local characters. Yakurai Yakushi no Yu came in first in the general hot spring election, and there are cottages, a pool and a beer garden on the premises, so next time I'd like to plan a day trip here.
