Hatagami Benzaiten Shrine is a shrine within the grounds of Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine. She is counted among the Seven Lucky Gods of Kamakura. To mark the 800th anniversary of the founding of Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine (1980), it was restored based on an old map from the Bunsei era. It is said that Hojo Masako had ponds dug on the east and west sides of the shrine built in the Meiji era to pray for the downfall of the Heike clan! Today, many people cross the red bridge, view the beautiful pond, and come to worship. Behind the main shrine is the Masako Stone!
