January. First day in Xishuangbanna

On the way to Xishuangbanna, we passed by Wild Elephant Valley and stopped by. It was my first time here, and it was a real experience. In winter, the weather in Xishuangbanna is really nice, with bright sunshine. It's a bit cool in the morning, but you can wear short sleeves from noon to night. We stayed in Gaozhuang, which I guess many people would choose, as it is the most lively place. There are plenty of food and drink options, and the food is good in every restaurant. However, the traffic is very congested in the morning and evening, and most hotels don't have parking spaces. Even if there are parking spaces, they are shared underground, and it's very difficult to find a parking space when you come back at night. It's not very convenient for self-driving. We went to the Starlight Night Market in the afternoon and left after the lights were on. It was a wise decision. Unless you need to take photos at night, there's no need to go there at night, as there are many people and nothing special to eat or drink. The Golden Pagoda Temple in the Starlight Night Market is very beautiful and worth a visit.
