Xishuangbanna Family Travel Guide | Suitable for a relaxing trip with the whole family

How should a family play in Xishuangbanna? I took two treasures and two seniors, here's a relaxing and easy-going strategy for you to keep! 🍛 About food: There are many restaurants in the Gaozhuang scenic area that are decent in taste, and if you don't want to go far, you can arrange to eat nearby! I don't think it's necessary to go to the famous restaurant Chunwuli with kids, as the queue is too long. ✔️ If you want to try cheap and authentic Dai cuisine, I suggest going to the neighboring Mandou Village, a place where locals go, and the prices there are much cheaper than in Gaozhuang! ✔️ Definitely recommend trying the Dai-style barbecue! It's so delicious! On our first evening, we checked into the hotel and walked to Mandou Village for a meal at Xiaobotao Dai Flavor Barbecue! I still remember the taste! It was so good! (I'll write a special food guide in the next issue 😏) ▫️ 🏨 About accommodation: We stayed inside the Gaozhuang scenic area, which was very convenient for strolling through the night market, dining, and renting electric cars for sightseeing! Most hotels and homestays have swimming pools, and we changed hotels a few times. The most comfortable one we stayed in was the Hepuli Yue Hotel, which had a family room that the kids really liked. ✔️ I don't recommend staying in river-view rooms because they are really noisy, and it's hard to rest at night. If you want to see the view of the Lancang River, it's better to just take a walk there in the evening. ▫️ 🌿 About scenic spots: ✔️ Starlight Night Market - Southeast Asia's largest night market is a must-visit! Remember to buy a set of Dai clothing for 25💰 at the night market, it's very beautiful for taking photos. If it's over 25, just go to the next shop 😏 ✔️ Manting Park Elephants 🐘 no longer perform, but you can take your kids to buy some fruit to feed the elephants, just go early. We went late, and the elephants were off work before we finished feeding them 😂 The Dai clothing bought at the night market is perfect for taking beautiful photos here 📸 ✔️ Zongfo Temple Next to Manting Park, be mindful not to wear revealing clothes, and remember to bring a sleeved shirt. ✔️ Dai Ethnic Village The most worthwhile performance to see is the peacock 🦚 flying show, which is very impressive! You can also experience the water-splashing festival activities, remember to bring an extra set of clothes. The scenic area is not large, if you are with children and seniors, it's recommended to buy a sightseeing car ticket. ▫️ 🚶‍♂️ Other suggestions: 🔵 The Snoopy sidecar is very nice for a short ride and some photos, but I don't recommend going everywhere with it, especially when it's getting dark, it's really not easy to ride, and many people online have had accidents with it! 🔵 For buying fruit, go to the Mangge Fruit Wholesale Market, personally tested to be cheap and tasty! But remember to ask around at several shops. For small pineapples, remember to open and smell them, as they can go bad if it's too hot. 🔵 Most hotels in Gaozhuang offer shuttle services to and from the airport | station, remember to call ahead and ask. The hotel sightseeing car can provide free transportation within Gaozhuang, which is especially needed when with children! Don't forget to use it!
