Chaji Ancient Town and the Most Beautiful Homestay: Walking in a Painting

Chaji is a forgotten ancient city. It is the largest existing ancient village from the Ming and Qing Dynasties, yet it is sparsely populated and quiet. If you don't go to Hongcun, you must come to Chaji. It is almost untouched by the hustle and bustle of the outside world, and the village still retains its original appearance. Chaji Town is built around a river, with carved beams and painted buildings, and clear river water. At night, there are dragon dance activities, and every household sets off firecrackers to welcome the arrival of the dragon. As the last stop of my trip to Anhui, Chaji left a deep impression on me. Staying at Zhuli Xiaoshan was a hidden surprise in the itinerary. My daughter said this was the best homestay she had ever stayed in. The owners are from Shanghai and Suzhou. They came to Chaji for a leisurely trip a few years ago and ended up staying. The homestay is built on the mountain, and every detail touched my heart. Isn't this my dream? The mountain is quiet, and the bamboo shadows sway. Through the window, you can see the rocks and the changing sky. A small episode: The stars of Jiangxi and Anhui have fallen. I originally wanted to stay at Zhuli Xiaoshan for the last two days, but Trip.com showed that it was closed on the 13th. I contacted the owner and she said she hadn't returned to Anhui yet, so I added a stop at Hongcun to the itinerary. However, Hongcun was crowded, so I went to Bishan Bookstore and then directly transferred to Chaji. The reverse flow of the holiday was successful. Except for the food in Jingdezhen, the travel experience was really great! Anhui is the pinnacle of ink and wash Jiangnan. As a Jiangsu native, I was deeply impressed by the uniform layout of Anhui villages with white walls and black tiles, carved railings, and painted buildings. I have to admire the aesthetics of Huizhou merchants and their strict family traditions.
