|Off-the-beaten-path Free Attraction - Yuhuang Pavilion.--------------------------------- Tickets: Free --------------------------------- →Attraction Introduction Yuhuang Pavilion was built during the Wanli period of the Ming dynasty 1573–1620 It has a history of over 400 years Covers an area of 4,600 square meters - Built during the Wanli period of the Ming dynasty, it was burned down in the Dinghai year of the Yongli period of the Southern Ming dynasty due to war, rebuilt in the Jiawu year of the Yongli period, and the main hall was renovated in the eighth year of the Yongzheng period of the Qing dynasty. - Later, the White Horse Temple (also known as Guanyin Temple) was incorporated into it, and it became a temple and pavilion of both Buddhism and Taoism. Architectural Features - Layout: Originally a courtyard-style building with two courtyards and three halls, with the front hall (mountain gate), archway, middle hall (Lingxiao Hall), and back hall arranged along the central axis. Later, the layout was expanded to three courtyards and four halls, covering a total area of about 4,600 square meters. - Middle Hall: The most magnificent, with a double-eaved hip roof, five bays, and a corridor, 17.4 meters wide and 16 meters deep, using the "moving column method" beam-lifting wooden frame. - Chongwen Tower: Built in the Yuan dynasty, originally named White Tower, rebuilt and renamed in the Ming dynasty, collapsed due to heavy rain in the fourth year of the Jiaqing period of the Qing dynasty, and rebuilt in the sixth year of the Daoguang period. The tower is over 20 meters high, a 17-story dense-eave brick solid Buddhist tower, square in shape, tapering upwards from the base, and well-preserved.
