Shang Gantang Village, a paradise on earth.

Shang Gantang Village Shang Gantang Village is picturesque, with an ancient charm and simple villagers. Walking into Shang Gantang Village is like stepping into a paradise on earth. Shang Gantang Village is located 25 kilometers southwest of Jiangyong County, with 453 households and a total of 1,865 people. Except for 7 households that moved to the village after the founding of the People's Republic of China, all other residents are of the Zhou clan. The Zhou clan has been settled in Shang Gantang Village since before the Song Dynasty, and their lineage has continued to this day. This village is one of the oldest thousand-year-old villages discovered in Hunan Province (second only to Long Village in Daoxian County's Lefutang).
