Popular Attractions
Aqua Planet Yeosu
Gochang-gun, SoKor 🇰🇷
This garden is one of South Korea’s largest, featuring expansive flower fields, walking paths, and eco-friendly exhibits. The rolling hills in the background of your image could match the terrain surrounding Suncheon Bay, which is a popular tourist destination in Jeollanam-do.
Famous for its Green Barley Field Festival and other agricultural events, Gochang also hosts seasonal flower fields that attract visitors. The rows of flowers could resemble scenes from this area during spring or autumn flower festivals.

Barefoot Bliss at Yeosu's Bonghwasan
#voyagevibes
I joined a walking event hosted by the WalkOn app’s health center and found myself on a refreshing barefoot trail in the Mipyeong Natural Recreation Forest. The event, supported by Yeosu's Barefoot Walking Movement Headquarters and even attended by Mayor Jeong Gi-myeong, brought a surprise with its media presence and a well-maintained yellow dirt path perfect for barefoot walking. The surrounding forest area was stunning, decorated beautifully with vibrant flower pots, making it a scenic and soothing place to reconnect with nature.

Camping in the woods 🍂
It’s fall season here in Korea, and the weather couldn’t be more perfect for outdoor adventures. Recently, we went on a camping trip with our church family, surrounded by the vibrant colors of autumn. The trees were turning shades of red, orange, and yellow, creating a stunning backdrop against the cool, crisp air.
We spent our days exploring the natural beauty around us, enjoying the sounds of rustling leaves and the warmth of the sun. In the evenings, we gathered around the campfire to share stories, sing hymns, and pray together. It was a wonderful time to deepen our connections with each other, relax in nature, and reflect on the beauty of God's creation. Camping with our church family this season has been a truly memorable experience, filled with laughter, warmth, and gratitude for the simple joys of life.

The Seomjingang River Fish Museum
#koreatrip Good like a visit to jeonnam marine science museum in yeosu. It is a branch of jeonnam scuence museum concerning the life in Seomjingang river. Educational and experiential contents are provided and again great place for family. Fun place to visit with kids, especially learning about fresh water fish life. The admission fee is cheap and the facilities are plentiful, so I recommend stopping by when you have time. Near this building, there is a fairly large site that can be enjoyed in conjunction with the Otter Ecology Center and the Red Plum Flower Trail, so if you want to see everything, not just this place, it would be a good idea to stop by at your leisure.

Fun place to visit with kids, especially learning about fresh water fish life. Our favorite part was seeing the otter! Gwangyang Maehwa Village (광양 매화마을)
#mytravelhacks #localguides
As I mentioned in my post yesterday, there are two early spring festivals I would suggest to get you in the spring spirit before the cherry trees blossom. This festival, the Gwangyang Maehwa Festival, will be held from March 8th to 17th. Many people will combine this festival with the Gurye Sunsuyu Festival happening up the road at the same time.
The first sign of spring in Korea is maehwa blossoms.
Maehwa translates as plum blossoms or apricot blossoms. Indeed, it is related to plum and apricots, but it is a unique species (prunus mume) that is a closer relative to apricots. Some common names in English include Chinese plum, Japanese plum, and Japanese apricot. In Korea, maehwa is grown for maesil, the fruit of the maehwa tree. Maesil tea is common as well as some other drinks and as a flavoring.
The Island Where Everything is Purple
You should definitely visit the Instagrammable Purple Islands in South Korea! They are two small islands where everything is purple. By "everything," I mean purple buildings, plants, roads, clothes, and even food! The islands became purple-themed to further promote tourism. If you wear a purple outfit, the admission to the islands is free! The first island, Banwol Island, had beautiful purple flowers and amazing views of the sea. The island was also one giant forested mountain overlooking everything. There were few people (Banwol and Bakji Islands had less than 150 residents total), as the village was only in a small segment of the island. As we walked around, there were the occasional small benches with a purple roof. There were also many beautiful butterflies on the island, and we saw a grasshopper and a giant green mantis. It was fantastic to see many different insects! We even saw a hummingbird hawk-moth and thought it was a hummingbird because its wings flapped so quickly! We saw it feeding on the nectar of the purple flowers using its long proboscis. Even though Bakji Island was smaller, there was more to do and see. We saw purple trucks and golf carts at the island's entrance. There was also a purple food truck that sold coffee and light bites. A purple sign also showed the way up a mountain to get great views for photos. The lavender field was breathtaking. There is even a purple pension home stay on Bakji Island. #korea #islandtravel #travel #falltrip #tourism #instagramworthydestinations
The Beauty of Damyang Meta Provence
#tripblazers
If you want to walk through the green bamboo forest in all four seasons, I would recommend Juknokwon, if you are curious about Damyang maple attractions, Gwanbanjerim, if you want to walk along the most beautiful Garosu-gil in Korea colored by autumn, Metasequoia Land, and if you want to take a nice life shot with a couple or family this fall, I would recommend Meta Provence. Damyang takes about 3 hours and 10 minutes by car from Busan, so you have to hurry early in the morning to take a day trip. It's not that close, so I spend a lot of time when I go. It's a wonderful place not only for the surrounding scenery but also for a food trip, so it's a travel destination I want to visit often if I have the chance.
Meta Provence is a tourist complex

Buildings have increased a lot, but it's a bit chilly. There's a lot of empty stores, and the sculptures don't look maintained...At the entrance, sculptures that have already passed the Santa Festival, dirty Santa Claus, a work called "Mask full of moss," and roller skating rinks indoors and outdoors are almost neglected. There were a lot of clothing stores, but the price seemed to be low. I saw an electric bike at the entrance, but the place wasn't that big, so I just walked. On the terrace of the outdoor cafe, I saw people enjoying tea with their pets, and seeing the flat card called ganggee Cho Sung-jung, I should come back with Ulshuna.

Meta Provence is a tourist complex in Damyang, Jeollanam-do, which attracts about 5 million tourists a year, and is located right next to Meta Sequia Road in Damyang, which is selected as the most beautiful street in Korea, and has the sensibility of moving Provence, a famous French city. Meta Provence consists of an open space where culture, art and business coexist, including fashion streets, design workshops and experience halls, commercial spaces, and banquet halls for family and club-level tourists as well as individual tourists.

In the village, there is a pension and a number of shops. It is across the road from the metasequoia path and was fairly busy. The giant statue in the center of the town was unexpected, but impressive.
There seems to be a connection to Christmas with a Santa statue and seasons greeting sign. There is also a children's park with dinosaurs that interested me.
For locations is 2-17, Geepsil-gil, Damyang-eup, Damyang-gun, Jeollanam-do.

Is this Korea? There are a few villages around Korea made to look like famous places from Europe. There is an Italy and France village in Gapyeong, and a Santorini recreation in Asan among other places. In Damyang, there is a small village made to look like Provence, France. I didn't know much about Provence until I looked it up for the post. I am not sure it looks that accurate, but maybe has the same feel? My French followers can tell me what they think. I wish the town in Damyang had the beautiful lavender fields though.

Castle Peak Island, Castle Island is an island known as the comma of life in a quiet landscape. The blue sea, the stone wall road, the seesaw stone grass field and the smile of the sea girl become the beautiful scenery of the Castle Peak Island in Wando County. The road connecting the villages of Castle Peak Island is also called the 'slow road'. Qingshan Island 'Slow Road' and Jeju Evening Road, Zhiyi Mountain Trail, etc., were included in the representative road of Korea and were certified as Slow Road No. 1 by the International Slow City Alliance in 2011. The island is an island for hikers and has 11 slow-moving routes. The Dang-ri ramp and the meandering old city wall in the Upper West Village, which is famous for the filming of the movie "Western", are some representative slow-path routes. The slow road also extends to the seaside of Caozhou, the seaside of the emerging village, and the poolside beaches of the sea pine forest. Not only can you enjoy the scenery, but you can also experience the traditional net fishing, slow food movement, etc., which makes the tourism content of the slow-paced city-Qingshan Island more diverse.
Before coming to Jeollanam-do, my trip to South Korea was basically in Seoul, Busan.
came here to know that the food in the Koreans is the best!
Filming a documentary at Baocheng Tea Garden, Jeollanam-do, South Korea, personally experienced tea picking, fried tea, and fun. The tea garden here has not only tea, but also green tea, green tea, green tea, green tea, and green tea. Eating goods is really like staying here. Seriously, since drinking the green tea rice wine of Baocheng, there is no encounter beyond it!
