A Must-Try Black Pork BBQ Experience in Jeju: Sukseongdo

#summervacay With so many black pork BBQ spots in Jeju, we decided to try Sukseongdo, conveniently located near our hotel. Only later did we realize it’s a famous local chain known for its aged black pork and now we understand why! Be prepared for a wait we queued for about an hour but it was absolutely worth it. As you enter, you’ll see a full display of beautifully aged meats on the shelf. The menu offers a great variety, and we went with the staff’s recommendation: the 960 Sukseong Black Bone-in Sirloin, along with a few other cuts. The side dishes are complimentary, and they provide fresh lettuce for wrapping. The staff grills the meat for you and even guides you on how to enjoy it best. We also tried their house beer, which paired perfectly with the meal. The 960 Sukseong Black Bone was the star—juicy, tender, and full of flavor. Yes, we left smelling like BBQ, but we were all smiles.
