The city of a thousand pillars

Jerash is an ancient city with one of the best preserved Roman architectures outside of Italy. It is located north of Amman, about an hour's drive away. Parking is available. It is open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. In winter, it closes a bit earlier at around 4:00 p.m. Entrance fee for foreigners is 10 JOD or about 500 baht. The places worth a walk to see are the South Theater, the Temple of Artemis and the Oval Plaza. There are many trees and flowers, some of which have thorns. Be careful walking. #VisitHistoricalSite
