Fukuoka Food Tour: Karato Market 🍣

I have been eating sushi for more than 20 years, but this is the first time I have eaten such fresh sushi in Karato Market! The fish meat is chewy and has an excellent taste. Karato Market is located in Yamaguchi Prefecture. You can usually go to Moji Port from Fukuoka, or like me, take a cruise ship and take a shuttle bus to Moji, and then take another stop to Moji Port. Mojiko is a very quiet little harbor, and it is very comfortable to take a slow walk there. The roasted curry is said to be delicious (I didn't have enough food to eat), and the pudding and coffee ice cream (called coffee flow) are highly recommended! It's only a 5-minute boat ride from the station to Karato Market. Note⚠️ Karato Market only sells sushi on weekends and sells wholesale on weekdays. You can eat puffer fish here (it is a local specialty). There are many sushi stalls. I recommend the one with a tuna logo on it (the theme color is yellow, and there are always long queues there), and the one that sells big scallops at the back (the theme color is also yellow). The rice at these two stalls is better. The first one at the door is not recommended. The two of us only spent 350 yuan to eat until we were full.
