Qinghai Jianzha, attending a grand event of the Five-Colored Divine Arrows

If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, I would find it hard to imagine an archery competition could be so magnificent and passionate by the Yellow River under the blue sky. I was fortunate to arrive in Jianzha County, Qinghai, just in time for the 8th "Five-Colored Divine Arrows" International Ethnic Traditional Archery Invitational. The competition was held right by the Yellow River, surrounded by mountains on all sides, with the sky as clear as a huge sapphire. The wind blew, and the fluttering prayer flags mixed with the cheers of the audience, stirring the heart. This grand event gathered over 2,300 archers from 25 countries and more than 20 provinces in the "China Arrow Capital" Jianzha, holding a competition to make friends through archery. The competition was spectacular, with every archer full of spirit and performing at their best. The contestants dressed in ethnic costumes, drawing their bows and releasing arrows, as if traveling through time back to the ancient pastoral era. The sound of the bowstrings vibrating blended with the echoes from the distant mountains, creating a power that moved the soul. Standing among the crowd, watching arrow after arrow hit the target precisely, each hit accompanied by applause and cheers, I felt a sense of awe—it was not just a competition, but a cultural heritage being passed down and continued. What impressed me most were the smiling faces of the children by the sidelines, imitating the bow-drawing movements, their eyes full of longing. At that moment, I understood the meaning of the "Five-Colored Divine Arrows": it is not just a competition, but a continuation of ethnic memory, the purest connection between people and nature. Sometimes, the meaning of travel is touched in moments like these. The sky of Jianzha, the trajectory of the arrows, the cheers and laughter—all became the brightest stroke in my memory.
