Mount Omuro is a small volcano with unique characteristics in the Izu area. From a distance, it looks like a perfectly round matcha chiffon cake. It is really beautiful when the weather is good. The whole mountain is almost a green hill covered with grass. From the top of the mountain, you can see the sea, the mountain and the town in the distance. It is a bit like the filming location of the animation "Your Name". No wonder some people say that this place is not inferior to foreign countries. This time I participated in a one-day tour package and took the cable car to the mountain. Although it was a weekday, the cable car still had a long queue, about half an hour. But as soon as I got to the top of the mountain, my mood immediately improved💖 The scenery is open and the air is very clean. The entire top of the mountain is in the shape of a crater. You can walk around it in about half an hour. Along the way, you will see some Jizo Buddha statues and small stone piles, which feels very quiet. There is no shelter on the top of the mountain. It is really hot in summer. It is recommended to bring a hat or sunscreen, otherwise you will be sunburned. There is a small shop next to it where you can buy drinks or ice cream to take a break. The overall stay is about an hour and a little more, just right, not too tired or boring. Interestingly, looking at the scenery of mountains and seas in the distance, you will suddenly have a feeling that "Japan is so beautiful". I can understand why some people think that staying in Japan is enough and there is no need to go abroad. ☁️Suggested method: It is most convenient to join a one-day tour from Ito or Izu, which is convenient for transportation and cable car tickets are usually included. ☁️Cable car queue: It may take more than 30 minutes to queue during popular periods. Remember to avoid consecutive holidays or noon. ☁️Top of the mountain trail: It takes about 30 minutes to walk around. It is not difficult to walk but there is no shelter. Pay attention to sun protection in summer. ☁️Overall time: Including waiting for the car, walking around and taking pictures, it takes about 60 to 70 minutes. ☁️Others: The small shop on the top of the mountain sells simple drinks and ice cream; there are also archery ranges and hot springs nearby that can be arranged along the way.
