I recommend this treasure minsu near Mount Omuro in Izu Kogen.

It's about 2 km from Izu-Kogen Station, overlooks the sea, and is about 4 km from Mount Omuro. You can enjoy a magnificent sunrise from inside the minsu. The owner's family is Chinese, so communication in Mandarin is easy, and the service makes you feel right at home. If you communicate with the owner in advance, they can pick you up and drop you off at the station based on your arrival and departure times, which is a great help if you have a lot of luggage. You can book breakfast, lunch, and dinner. If you want to try local cuisine for dinner, you can book a meal with the owner in advance for JPY 5,000/person (I made a special reservation to try it, as shown in pictures 10-13). Cleanliness: The owner's family loves cleanliness and keeps everything tidy. It's spotless, so you can check in with peace of mind. Room size: Compared to hotels in Tokyo, the rooms are naturally spacious. Bed: The mattress is moderately firm, which helps with sleep. Room facilities: Since the minsu is a converted villa, there are no toilets or showers in the rooms, but there are shared ones outside, which are also very clean. Izu itself has many onsen (hot springs), and if you talk to the owner, they can help you get to a nearby onsen. Value for money: This is the best minsu I've ever stayed at in Japan. There are six rooms, and depending on the room type, weekday prices range from CNY 500-900.
