Watching a Fire Dance at Uluwatu Temple

After a long journey, I queued up to buy tickets for the Kecak dance performance at Uluwatu Temple. The temple entrance fee is 50k, and the fire dance show is 150k. Around five or six o'clock, I wandered around the temple. The cliffs by the sea are a perfect spot for photography, with the soft glow of the sunset. There are many monkeys that snatch sunglasses from tourists and won't let go, even if you try to exchange them with food. Then, I witnessed a magnificent sunset, with the vast horizon and the sun setting beyond control. Everyone became anxious, eagerly waiting for the performance to start, trying to secure a good spot. The ticket gate for the performance area was surrounded by people early on, heightening the anticipation for the fire dance. The circular stage was filled with faces of different colors from around the world. It's amazing how different races sit together here, with various scents, perfumes, and languages, truly resembling a world stage. The performance officially began, telling a classic mythological story centered around a female power struggle. A highlight was the portrayal of the Monkey King, vividly resembling the real monkeys in the temple. Although I couldn't fully understand the Indonesian religious story, the actual fire dance part was quite rough.
