Leh Royal Palace, Ladakh India

Leh Palace is a former royal palace overlooking the Ladakhi Himalayan town of Leh. Modelled on the Potala Palace in Lhasa, Tibet, the palace was built by King Sengge Namgyal in the 16th century. It is nine storeys high; the upper floors accommodated the royal family, while the lower floors held stables and store rooms. You can get here by renting a car or trekking, if I'm trekking (even though it's really awkward) because it's close to the inn. The entry ticket is 300 Rupees, not much to see inside, only empty spaces and 2 spaces for Buddhist worship and mosques/prayer rooms, maybe the inhabitants of the kingdom used to be Muslims and Buddhists. There are 9 floors which are good for selfies with a very beautiful view while relaxing sitting around but I turned the chair into a tripod #passionpassport
