The food scene here is surprisingly great—from cozy Tibetan momo spots to little cafés serving amazing thukpa. You’ll eat well without spending much. The whole place has this laid-back, traveler-friendly vibe where you can just take your time exploring. It’s the perfect base for trips around Ladakh, but the city itself is worth a couple days just to soak up the atmosphere. Cold but completely lovely. Just pack warm clothes and enjoy the slow pace!
