When the palace was first built, it was used as the palace of King Mu of Baekje. Later generations abandoned the main buildings and rebuilt them into temples. The Wanggungri ruins are the only place in South Korea where the remains of the outer walls of the royal palace can be found. In addition, the remains of the garment room, ceramic workshop, large toilet, etc. have also been excavated one by one. This is a place to learn about the historical relics of the ancient Korean country, Baekje, which are basically distributed in Gongju City, Buyeo County, Chungcheongnam-do, and Iksan City, Jeollabuk-do.
