Challenge to Ijen crater-Banyuwangi

The Ijen volcano complex is a group of volcanoes located on the border between Banyuwangi Regency and Bondowoso Regency of East Java, Indonesia. It is known for its blue fire, acidic crater lake, and labour-intensive sulfur mining. . The hike to the crater needs 2-2,5 hours especially for those who are not used to hike and u will need another 30 mins to see the blue fire….There are two ways to reach to the summit. u can go there on foot or u can rent the cart…so u will just sit down and will be pushed and pulled by 2 person. The cost varies….it us around 1.2 million for return if u start from the gate . The gate is opened at 2 am and we have to show the health medical letter and the ticket costs 5K idr for local tourist and 100K for foreigner.for weekends, it cost 7.500 IDR For local tourist and 150K for foreigner . Having walked for almost 2.5 hours, i reached the summit ….yeay and hard walk pays off….i see a very beautiful and stunning scenery there….it’s worth it….. .
