A Hidden Treasure: Jiaye Library in Nanxun

#discoverchina #nanxun We were amazed by Jiaye Library,a book lover's paradise built by collector Liu Chenggan. This modest two-story building once housed China's finest private book collection - including rare Song dynasty editions of the Four Great Histories and thousands of local records. Though many treasures are now at the National Library, we could still feel the scholarly magic in the Four Histories Room and see imperial gifts in the main hall. The carved wooden shelves and quiet atmosphere made it easy to imagine scholars studying here centuries ago. A perfect stop for history buffs in Nanxun!
