We spent a night at Sekeping Serendah Retreat during our local trip and it was amazing! "Escape to a glass house in the forest for a night—it's so relaxing!" 🌲✨ This time, we opted for a local trip and visited Sekeping Serendah Retreat, staying in the incredibly unique Glass Box 1. I was initially quite apprehensive due to some negative online reviews, but after experiencing it, I was completely blown away! 💯 🌿 Special Features • The house is entirely glass, letting in sunlight in the morning and letting you sleep to the sounds of the forest at night—a completely different experience. • The bathroom 🚿 is completely open-plan, with no curtains! 😳 It seemed strange at first, but it's actually quite romantic and perfect for couples—definitely a "just for two" space. • Glass Box 1, which we chose, offers more privacy than Glass Box 2. Surrounded by trees, we weren't afraid of being seen from outside. The terrace in Glass Box 2 was too visible, making it a bit uncomfortable. 🔥 Practical Tips • The room doesn't have air conditioning, only fans. It's cool at night, but a bit warm during the day. • There's no mirror and not much space, so it's helpful to bring some small things. • The internet is weak, so you can't surf the internet, but you can use WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram, making it a nice little getaway. • There are a lot of mosquitoes and ants, so be sure to bring mosquito repellent! Otherwise, you'll be bitten to the point of doubting your life. 🤣 • The hotel provides barbecue utensils and charcoal, so just bring your own ingredients. We had a barbecue on the terrace that evening. The cool air, delicious food, and time together was truly enjoyable. ❤️ 📌 Overall Experience If you're looking for the comforts of a five-star hotel, this might not be the place for you. But if you're looking for the unique feeling of a forest cabin, away from the hustle and bustle, and a quiet escape for two, this is definitely worth it.
